Hench Refrigeration Training Software Version 2.3.3Description of the Refrigeration Training Software:The Hench Control Refrigeration Training Software is a PC-based tool to train operators to find the source of a refrigeration system problem and correct it. It shows a color-graphics screen, which is set up to have one of 25 different faults occur. The faults each provide the operator with unique clues as to the source of the problem. When the operator determines the nature of the problem, he can repair it and restore the system to completeness. For example, if the fan belt on a condenser fan is broken, the discharge pressure will rise and the fan motor current will drop, but not go to zero. The operator can measure voltages, currents and resistances of different components to narrow down the source of the problem. When he is done, he must return the system to normal by not only fixing the original source of the problem, but must also correct any secondary problems, such as blown fuses. The Refrigeration Training Software also allows the use of historical trending to determine the nature of the problem. It has several screens the operator can access for his investigation. 25 different faults are built into the Refrigeration Training Software, such as motor shorts, valve failures and open circuits.
